From 30 September to 1 October, the fifth edition of the international trade fair – a key meeting point for the swimwear, sportswear and accessories sectors – will feature over 40 exhibitors presenting more than 70 collections for the SS’28 season.

Swimwear Barcelona, the international trade fair for swimwear, sportswear and accessories, has confirmed the dates for its next edition, the fifth, which will take place from 30 September to 1 October at the World Trade Center in Barcelona, an unrivalled venue that is highly representative of the Catalan capital thanks to its seafront location.

With more than five months to go before the event takes place, the organisers have already secured 40 confirmed exhibitors, who will be presenting over 70 collections for the Spring/Summer 2028 season, whilst working to finalise the exhibition space and prepare a supporting programme featuring conferences, creative workshops and round-table discussions on sustainability, artificial intelligence and other topics relevant to the textile sector.

“In an industry that is constantly evolving, Swimwear Barcelona is more than just a trade fair; it is a dynamic and interactive space to learn about the latest market trends, discover innovations in textiles, seek inspiration for future collections and generate networking and business opportunities. All this in a professional, relaxed atmosphere and an unrivalled setting ” says Xavier Llamas, director of Swimwear Barcelona.

Internationalisation of the event

With a focus on internationalising the Barcelona swimwear and accessories trade show, Swimwear Barcelona is also working on a communication, promotion and recruitment campaign across Europe in countries such as France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom, amongst others, with the aim of increasing the number of visitors and trade buyers from all these countries and establishing itself as a leading industry event at European level.

A refreshed image

Swimwear Barcelona is also unveiling a new visual identity that conveys freshness, energy and the Mediterranean lifestyle through an aspirational scene linked to summer and fashion, whilst also reflecting the evolution and current positioning of the show: a dynamic, international fair fully connected to the world of beachwear, resortwear and swim accessories.

The revamped visual identity embraces a contemporary, luminous and high-impact aesthetic, designed to enhance the brand’s visibility and immediately capture the attention of buyers, professionals and companies in the sector.
